AMBER MAANSHAHIYA

With a solid background in law enforcement as a Police Constable, including my current role in District 3 as a General Patrol member since July 2023, and extensive experience in ensuring safety and security in diverse environments, I believe I possess the skills and competencies required to excel in this role. Additionally, my involvement with the West St. Paul Fire Department since 2021 has equipped me with valuable skills in fire safety and public engagement, particularly in educational settings and community events such as Canada Day. I have also gained experience working as a Correctional Emergency Response Unit trainee while serving as a Correctional Officer with Manitoba Justice, which has further enhanced my crisis management skills.

Throughout my career, I have demonstrated my commitment to public safety by supervising and directing activities in a range of settings, managing conflict, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations. My ability to communicate effectively, work well in a team, manage large groups of people, and recognize and diffuse potential conflicts makes me an ideal candidate for this position. Furthermore, my training in first aid and emergency protocols positions me to respond effectively to any unforeseen circumstances that may arise during events.

I am also physically fit and able to respond quickly to any emergency situation that may arise. My awareness of cultural differences and knowledge of local laws and regulations further enhance my suitability for this role.
