With proven expertise in team member training and inventory control, I excelled as Lead Hand at West Fraser Cochrane, where I not only supported my supervisor in crew management but also confidently stepped into his role in his absence. Known for being a personable and effective communicator, I consistently enhance team cohesion and efficiency.
Assist my supervisor in running the crew, and assume his responsibilities when he is not there.
Operate the Trimmer, keeping the flow of the mill going at a high pace.
Stack out the lifts of lumber coming from the mill to be kiln dried.
Part of a group that keeps the mill running by shared responsibilities on the Trimmer, Board Edger, 10” Edger, and Roving (chasing calls).
I started working on the Sorter. I was there for four months and then was trained to be the Stacker Operator, which I did for two years with distinction. In the spring of 2012 I worked as an Inside Operator for a couple of years. In 2016 I ran the De Barker until 2018.
Prior to 2010 I was piling posts at the Post Peeler which I did for a year and a half. I ran the Incisor and stacked incised lumber for 6 months on straight nights. My start date with Spray Lakes/West Fraser was September 28th, 2007. I started at the Plainer Mill where I piled blocks off the round table, learned to run the Plainer Sorter, Stacker, and worked as press help.
