Projects

Senior Design Project, Developed a theoretical alternate parking lot management system for our school using the Java programming language. The application featured Object-Oriented Programming principles and User Interface development to efficiently manage data, operations, and user convenience., User Management: Tracked what users were semester parking pass holders and who were not, allowing those who did have parking passes access to exclusive features such as advanced parking reservations., Quality of Life: Allowed all users to search for their vehicle and display what parking spot the vehicle was located in as well as displaying a map of the parking lot which showed what parking spots were currently available or occupied., Payment Processing: Integrated a rudimentary payment system for visitors without a semester parking pass., Access Control: Enabled all visitors to enter and exit the parking lot seamlessly, ensuring a smooth user experience., Data Storage: Implemented a file handling system to store visitor information for the program to reference when using other features., Automation: Automated the clearance of data stored in files at midnight for system efficiency and the start of a new day cycle for the parking lot., User Interface (UI): Developed a user-friendly UI for easy navigation and interaction.
