I was first introduced through the healthcare profession at the age of 16 where I was given the opportunity to experience internships within the health community. Excelling within these internships opened the door for offerings to pursue my postsecondary education. I attended Red River college in 2017 where I received my health care aide diploma, where I proved to be one of the top students in my class as I did in high school. I now work within the region at Portage clinic as a medical team assistant, I originally started with the company as a receptionist then was promoted to the nursing department by showing a tremendous work ethic and achieving a respected reputation. The responsibilities I received are working closely with the physicians assisting them with daily clinical procedures. Such as vitals, charting, and collection of specimens. Working within both departments I have developed a multitude of skills such as working with computers, and phones. Booking and rescheduling appointments as well as billing purposes, like taking payments for insurance purposes. I also have great knowledge of faxing, scanning, and copy machines. Over my four years with the clinic, I have grown to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills that assist me with customer service. I recently then decided to further my education and received my MLA diploma where I found my place in diagnostics. I can confidently speak to others in a calm professional manner and create positive work relationships with clients and staff. I consider myself a proficient and caring nursing team member offering outstanding patient-facing experience. Adamant about addressing patient needs with compassionate care and attention to detail. Diligent about maximizing satisfaction, safety and wellness while serving patients of all backgrounds.
