  • Lead several projects of 50G/100G/400G pluggable transceiver modules, e.g. TSFP56, QSFP-DD, etc. in R&D department.
  • Design, simulate, and test opto-electronic components, optical sub systems and systems for high-speed data transmission to verify compliance to vendor specifications and product requirements.
  • Perform reliability tests on optical components and modules (e.g. GR-468).
  • Coordinate design with optical, mechanical, digital, firmware and software engineers to reach interface and packaging objectives and to enhance product performance and reliability.

  • Designed an optical frequency comb generator based on cascaded push-pull MZMs on a Silicon-on-Insulator platform and demonstrated its application in optical communication as an optical transmitter and microwave photonics as an arbitrary waveform generator.
  • Designed an integrated nonlinear optical loop mirror device on a SOI platform and demonstrated its application in optical communication systems including wavelength conversion, modulation format conversion, 160 Gb/s to 10 Gb/s OTDM demultiplexing, pulse width measurement, etc.
  • Designed an integrated low-crosstalk OADM device based on mode selection and gratings on a SOI platform and tested its performance such as BER test in optical communication system.
