Student Caseworker - Investor Protection Clinic                     2023 - Present

Osgoode Hall Law School Investor Protection Clinic, Toronto, ON 

  • Conduct client intake interviews with harmed investors (usually from vulnerable populations), draft legal memos, communicate with partner caseworkers and supervising lawyers, conduct legal research, manage client expectations, find creative legal solutions to difficult or unclear legal problems.
  • Work on community outreach projects on behalf of the legal clinic such as writing articles about common scams vulnerable populations may encounter.
  • I manage several files (the most in the clinic) while taking traditional law school classes, and doing moot preparation.

  • Organize a York-wide chess tournament to determine the composition of the varsity chess team. I successfully advocated to get York back into the Canadian national chess circuit.
