Tactical Combat Casualty Care

  • I have completed to TCCC course which included applying medical aid in a stressful combat environment.
  • Having this qualification assisted me in making decisions in high stress environments that could assist in preserving life.
  • This qualification helped me understand in detail what kind of medical treatment would be needed for an individual in a life threatening situation.


Deployments

  • I have been deployed 3 times in my career, to Iraq, Kuwait, and Poland.
  • In Iraq I was deployed as part of a security task force where we went on moves through Baghdad taking high level people to meetings to help resolve peace.
  • In Iraq I was also part of security for the base in Baghdad, Union 3, where during protests and other high stress situations I provided security on entrances and along the walls of the base.
  • In kuwait I was deployed as security and to assist in the evacuation of Afghani refugees.
  • I provided all essential needs to the refugees including bathroom essentials, toothbrushes, toothpaste, towels, soap, etc.
  • I provided a safe environment for all refugees who were in a terrible situation and was able to make their situation improve.
  • In Poland I was deployed to help the Ukranian refugees at the centres near Warsaw.
  • I helped get refugees water, food, and bedspaces needed for them and their families.
  • I provided security for the centres making sure that people entering were safe individual and I would be checking all identification prior to them accessing the facilities.
