ACADEMIC PROJECT

Molecular Basis of Cancer, Research Program at CIS  

  • Researching the molecular basis of cancer, environmental toxins and traditional Chinese medicine under the leadership of Professor at Brown University.
  • Collaborate with group partners to finish an individual research projects - "Exposure To Lead Increases Blood Pressure Through The Activity Of Na/K+ ATPase".


Genetic Investigation of Blue Carbon Sequestration, Chen Es Sin's Lab at NUS 

  • Record each stage of growth of Halophila ovalis by photographing and measuring the size and investigate the health level of Halophila ovalis through genetic and epigenetic mechanisms.
  • Growth promotion of Halophila ovali experiments by addition of various nutrients at St. John's Island National Marine Laboratory (SJNML) and NUS laboratories.


Field Course: Comparative Applied Field Marine Mammal Physiology

  • Systematic Deconstruction of Harbor Seal Collected in Nova Scotia and understanding the physiological systems and diseases of Harbor seals.
  • Investigating the cause of seal deaths and potential diseases, in order to compose the autopsy report.


OERS Field Research, Oceanographic Environmental Research Society

  • Undertake a survey of Zostera (eelgrass) abundance in Belliveaus Cove, Nova Scotia, and study the physiology and characterization of Zostera thereby attempting to culture and rescue it in indoor tanks.
