Yuheng Chang

My research project focused on studying paclitaxel. My role in the experiment involved introducing the plasmids containing mutations into photosynthetic cyanobacteria. This step was crucial for the subsequent cultivation, testing, and identification of products. I was also responsible for evaluating a simulation model related to taxadiene synthase. This project encompassed both experimental and computational aspects, allowing me to explore the effects of genetic modifications on the production of paclitaxel and taxadiene five alpha alcohol.

I began to study C++ after enrolling in junior high school. Studying programming languages sparked my interest and motivated me to dive deeper into this field. I was selected as a member of our school’s C++ team. It was an excellent opportunity to collaborate with like-minded individuals and enhance my understanding of complex algorithms and functions. Participating in competitions like NOIP (National Olympiad in Informatics in Provinces) was a fantastic way to test my knowledge and problem-solving abilities. Finally, I was awarded the second prize in the NOIP Junior Shanghai Area.
