My name is Yinyue Zhang (Cecilia). Having learned and practiced in many different environments, I am confident to quickly adapt to the new environment and trained to be more professional. As ESFJ I think I am an Enthusiastic, serious, cheerful, planned person. I chose to Study Book and Media Study as an undergraduate because I hope to make my interest highly linked to my major. I hope I can get the most suitable period of experience through my media professional ability and good conversation skills. I will work harder to pursue my dream and enhance professional ability in the future. I sincerely appreciate to offer opportunities to me
During my internship at Draper Fisher Jurvetson, a leading U.S. venture capital firm, I honed crucial research skills and analytical techniques. I applied my business management knowledge to real-world scenarios, evaluating companies across various sectors including tech startups and educational services. I performed in-depth analyses focusing on business models, financial health, and market positioning, which are documented in a recommendation letter from DFJ. This experience has equipped me with the analytical prowess and industry insight needed to excel in future business and finance roles.
I'm an outgoing person who works hard and has a lot of experience. I once won the first place in all the Beijing International schools in dance. I improved my artistic expression in the rigorous training of Banana Culture, but after communicating with my parents and the stagnation of the domestic entertainment industry, I chose to pay more attention to my studies.
I am the founder of the Migrant Children Foundation in Beijing, which aids underprivileged migrant children. I initiated and directed educational programs engaging over 30 BCIS students, and led a successful online tutoring system during the pandemic. We raised over 2,000 RMB through fundraisers for educational resources. In my upcoming senior year, I plan to establish a library and activity center for these children, aiming to foster a nurturing environment that supports their growth and happiness. My leadership in this foundation reflects my commitment to social impact and educational advocacy.
Because of my deep interest in art since childhood, I began to learn piano and clarinet at the age of four. Because I went to junior high school in the United States, I am very appreciative of Western art and original music. When I came back to China due to COVID-19, I first taught myself how to use logic pro to create several pieces of music, and then I got together with many music artists to make music. I enjoy the way of combining Chinese culture with Western culture and expressing emotions through music.
