KAWAN is a for-profit social enterprise founded by a group of youths under National Youth Council's Youth Action Challenge. We focus on curating a combination of activities and tangible products to help people of different nationalities explore the less-known aspects of Singapore culture. KAWAN's services will soon expand to include networking events, as well as a giving-back directory, letting our customers go full circle in their Singapore journey.

Associate Facilitator at Youth Corps Singapore of National Youth Council, an autonomous agency under the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth set up by the Government of Singapore as the national co-ordinating body for youth affairs in Singapore.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Developing and conducting workshops and training programs to enhance the leadership skills of students.
• Collaborating with schools and institutions to identify students who would benefit from leadership development programs.
• Facilitating discussions and debates on topics related to national identity, such as culture, heritage, and citizenship.

Even though the CCA was mainly focused on short film production, it did have a strong emphasis on community awareness and the value of compassion. In my two years of being president, I connected the club with organizations like Movement for the INtellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS) and National Organ Transplant Unit (NOTU), and worked with the organizations to plan and facilitate volunteer sessions for the students.

HCA Hospice is Singapore's largest home hospice care provider that provides comfort and support to patients with life-limiting illnesses. As the project leader for my cohort's partnership with the hospice, I designed activity packs and created instruction videos for the patients and facilitated meaningful discussions among peers to better execute the project.

Being one of the most fluent bilingualists at my primary school, I was appointed the Student Volunteer Coordinator for the initiative Ping Pong Love in grade 6. My job was to connect students at my primary school with event organizers from Ping Pong Love, and convince students and their parents to sign up for charity fairs and teach at schools for children of low-paid workers.
