Yihao Ma

In High School, I have experience of participating in an international robotic competition for three years, and I am mainly responsible for CAD drawing and mechanical construction. I learned lots of related knowledge from instrctos and gained experience by racing with my passionate team around the world.

I have joined multiple club in different schools at the first year of college, and I met friends who have similar interests in programming, data analysis and others. These friends helped me a lot with my studies in or outside of the class.

Exploration About the Significance of Shape and Texture in MRC

• Researched in the significance of shape and texture in machine reading comprehension (MRC), how will different combinations of correctly presented features and randomly presented features effect MRC outcomes, and how will different sampling methods effect MRC learning outcomes.
• Programmed in Python to do data cleaning and created data visualization.
• Wrote python scripts to generate different texture using Gabor filter and related the value with the frequency of the Gabor filter, which helped generate training dataset.
• Read papers to design an experiment showing was the shape or the texture that CNN (convolution neural network) learnt most under following situation: correct shape and correct texture, correct shape and wrong texture, correct texture and wrong shape.

Develop payment systems for state-owned enterprises. Connect and standardize with international trade.

• Develop the front-end and back-end of a specific payment platform between large state-owned enterprises. The purpose of this system is to consolidate and simplify complex multi-company, multi-bank transfers.
• Test the security and accuracy of the initially completed platform
• For overseas accounts, try to improve unified statements and procedures to facilitate customers to connect with these different banks.
• Learn information retrieval and mainstream DBMS (database management system)
