Business Architect (Level 3)
Workload Migration (WLM) Program facilitates the migration of government applications from aging legacy data centers to modern, more secure and reliable solutions - whether cloud, state-of-the-art enterprise data centre (EDC) or a hybrid of the two. The ultimate purpose is to migrate department workloads to reliable, modern, and secure hosting options. More specifically, the WLM Program will: enable a new generation of digital service delivery offerings to Canadians; ensure that existing government applications are migrated off aging, vulnerable IT infrastructure; deliver on the government's vision of a modern, digitally enabled public service, as well as the drive to prioritize cloud based computing
Responsibilities:
- Provide infrastructure and ensure consistency in how solutions are engineered
- Lead various windows modernization programs
- Collaborate and ensure the strategic alignment and operation of the IT Refresh and Repair Program on behalf of DCSB
- As the Business Sponsor, provide oversight, coordination and support for Workload Migration and two EDC IT Establishment projects
- Integrate all SSC IT infrastructure components into a centralized 'Enterprise' operational data store (ODS) to support enterprise business systems
- Responsible for scheduling various projects at different gates to satisfy technical requirements and funding associated
- Participation of daily scrum meetings with project team
- Report development including communication plan, work plan and presentations for multiple stakeholders for the Enclave Evolution initiative within ESIM
- Participation of Workload Migration Updates meeting with senior executive
- Development of SDDC work plan and development of project plan for cloud implementation
- Manage and maintain procurement plans such that all project resources, hardware and software are procured
- Oversee the project team to ensure deliverables are produced on schedule.
