I am a recent Biological Sciences graduate with a minor in Chemistry at the University of Alberta, bringing hands-on experience in laboratory testing, clinical settings, and research support. I have worked and analyzed biological and chemical samples gaining practical skills in microbiology, immunology, and analytical chemistry. Through my internships and research work, I have developed strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities. I am passionate about applying science to real-world challenges and contributing to impactful work in healthcare, research, or laboratory environments.
Completed a clinical and laboratory internship at Mediheal Group of Hospitals, where I assisted with patient reception, appointment scheduling, and medical record organization. I focused extensively on laboratory work, helping process and analyze blood and urine samples for infections such as malaria and UTIs. I also participated in COVID-19 testing, vaccine preparation and administration, and became familiar with diagnostic equipment and standard lab protocols.
Completed a medical internship at Limuru Nursing Home, a low-cost hospital serving underserved communities in Kenya. Shadowed a family doctor and assisted nurses with wound care, patient monitoring, and maternal health procedures. Gained exposure to hospital operations, including the use of MRI and X-ray equipment, and participated in organizing and restocking medical supplies. This experience deepened my understanding of equitable healthcare delivery and the importance of accessible medical services.
Worked as an eCommerce Associate and Cashier at Walmart, where I assisted customers with online orders, processed transactions, and ensured timely dispatch of items. Managed inventory, restocked shelves, and maintained organized displays. Collaborated with team members to meet daily goals and developed strong communication and leadership skills by guiding new associates and coordinating workflows during peak hours.
