Title: Impacts of Academic Pressures from K-12 Education in China on Chinese Adults’ Attitudes and Motivation Toward Lifelong Learning
This qualitative study explored how familial, societal, and school-based academic pressures experienced during K–12 education in China influenced Chinese adults' attitudes and motivation toward lifelong learning. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with five participants via Zoom, with transcription approval and thematic analysis completed in early 2023. Four major themes were identified: perceived value, motivation, challenges, and participant recommendations for families, schools, and society to better support lifelong learning engagement.
