As an Education Coordinator, I collaborate on and create resources that are based on the identified needs of various Indigenous communities across Canada, and internationally as well, as they relate to climate justice and Indigenous sovereignty.

• One of the facilitators of the Climate Leadership Program, which explores climate change and science in relation to the inalienable rights of Indigenous peoples
• Coordinated two webinar series to discuss both False Solutions and Indigenous-led Just Transitions.
• I draft statements, author blogs, and do interviews to support the messaging and involvement of Indigenous rights in climate justice movements
• I coordinate ICA's first Education Committee, which was formed to guide and support the creation and direction of ICA's educational programming

Advocacy for local, land-based Indigenous food systems that empower Indigenous communities and promote sustainable food practices. Experienced in designing and implementing holistic strategies that blend traditional knowledge with modern techniques to revitalize Indigenous food systems.

• Built and maintained relationships with stakeholders, structural partners, community leaders and members while acknowledging the land as our biggest stakeholder
• Spearheaded communications with the development of a strategic comms plan, managing the emails, transcribing webinars, and monitoring social media channels

• Provided a range of mental health education to First Nations community members, as well as undertaking research into personality, psychopathology, behavioral interventions and program evaluation depending on client, family or community need
• Interviewed clients and their caregivers to gather case history information in order to identify areas of concern to be addressed in counseling. Maintained regular contact with clients on the waitlist to monitor changes in problem severity and to facilitate waitlist management
• Maintained membership to the Emergency Mental Health Response Team, where we would respond to mental health emergencies in community and provide support based on the models outlined in the Critical Incident Stress Management trainings

As a server and bartender, I was responsible for curating the Mr. Mike's experience of exceptional food and service for every guest while providing an energetic and friendly atmosphere for both guests and coworkers alike. Furthermore, as one of the head servers, I assumed a supervisory and training role as Leader on Duty, which involved the management of FOH employees while ensuring strong communication between BOH/FOH to ensure efficient operations

Coordinated a multidisciplinary team for the inaugural Elder's Conference in Northwestern Canada

• Planned, organized and conducted meetings by drafting agendas, following-up with minutes and preparing all event materials (invitation letters, requests for funding, conference booklet and itinerary)
• Responsible for all eternal communications with 11 First Nations member communities, health authorities and partner organizations
• Responsible for developing, reviewing and seeking approval for all financial transactions within a budget of $400,000.00 (ensured the event was completed with a surplus)
• Delegated tasks to ensure that all event logistics and operations were accounted for, including facility selection, entertainment, transportation, accommodation, audio-visual equipment, food and beverage selections

• Helped clients deal with substance abuse, mental illness and other concerns by providing a confidential, safe space over the phone
• Evaluated risk of harm and handled crisis situations over the phone with exceptional tact, enacting best possible interventions for further support and stabilization
• Coordinated trainings with new volunteers to facilitate the learning of company policies and procedures, and completed frequent assessments of training materials, structure and engagement
• Routinely hosted shadow sessions where new volunteers would watch me take calls and/or I would take notes while they took calls

Rising through the FOH, I ensured the perfect guest experience by greeting customers, managing take-out/delivery, serving and bartending. In July 2017, I was promoted to Acting General Manager (while there was regional corporate restructuring) where I was responsible for the planning and directing of food service operations. In addition to the supervision and work delegation of hosts and servers, I had a role in daily cash and deposits, creating a welcoming environment for the training and orientation of new employees and ensuring that food and safety standards were being not only met but exceeded
