Working in wildland, rural and structural fire suppression. Respond to emergency situations, perform heavy physical work and assist in the maintenance of the grounds, equipment and general station housekeeping.

• Operated on the fist saw team, efficient with the pulaski and McLeod.
• Patrolled burnt areas after fires to locate and eliminate hot spots that could flare or rekindle.
• Oversaw equipment and vehicle upkeep to maintain emergency readiness.

• Acquired basic skills and safety techniques in use of hand tool operations, tools including but not limited to: McLeod, Pulaski, Fire Shovel, and Chainsaw. This included constant maintenance of tools such as troubleshooting, sanding, oiling, sharpening cutting edges and chains, replace broken or weaken handles, flagged when tools were deemed out of service and no longer safe for use.
