I have a passion for caring for seniors, and improving their quality of life. Over the more than 25 years I have worked at A.R. Goudie, that passion has continued to grow. As a nursing student I learned what made a good nurse. For 17 years I was a frontline shift nurse, first working the night shift and then working more than 7 years on the secure home area, developing my nursing skills, and fostering my leadership ability. I was then fortunate enough to move into a leadership position, as Director of Resident Quality outcomes. For the past more than 8 years, I have met goals, continued to learn, and excelled at all challenges presented to me. I feel that I would be the right person for the Assistant Director of Care position, because I am dedicated, loyal and ready to continue to grow within the organization, to accept further challenges that may come with the position, and I aspire to always learn, while remaining here at A.R. Goudie. It is and has always been my personal ambition to be able to show my daughters that I was able to start out, new, as a student, and work hard, to continue to grow within Peoplecare, eventually, one day becoming the Executive Director of care.
