Nurse Clinician Nurse Led High Risk MASLD Clinic

  • Led the start up of the first nurse led MASLD Clinic in Canada
  • Triaging referrals from Hepatology CAT to bring into clinic. Determining urgency of referral to effectively redirect patients to appropriate waitlists once workup is complete
  • Provide all aspects of case management for patients and their families living with metabolic steatotic liver disease from simple steatosis to liver cirrhosis
  • Built up patient base from 0 to approximately 60 per month
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide coordinated, comprehensive, safe, family centered care for patients
  • Control efficient operations of the clinic through high level critical thinking, quick decision making and clear communication
  • Provide group education workshops both virtually and in person to patients and families living with MASLD
