Summary

My experience at Fanshawe College has been a meaningful part of my personal and academic growth, especially through the guidance and support of the Indigenous Centre. It provided a space where I felt connected, empowered, and encouraged to develop both as a student and as an individual. For this reason, my path has led me to empower other students and encourage them to find themselves and feel connected & supported in the same way I felt. Now, I carry that sense of empowerment with me not just as a student, but as someone who wants to give back. I do my best to support and uplift others, creating the same kind of welcoming, safe space that the Indigenous Centre created for me. My future goal is to enhance my skills and receive my Bachelors Of Honors In behavioral Psychology in the social work field. My focus is to create space for Indigenous voices, support youth, and contribute to meaningful, community change while working Fanshawe College.
