  • Create show displays for various manufacturers to highlight product strengths
  • Customized suspension set-up including revalving and respringing to match customers needs

Significantl accomplishment demonstrating a high level of technical proficiency and professionalism has resulted in Brooklin Cycle being commissioned for a number of technical projects for major manufacturers/distributors.

Significant Accomplishment. initiated a two year long project to bring a new, affordable but desirable entry level motorcycle to Canada to stimulate market growth among younger riders. After release the CBR125 went on to become Canada's best selling motorcycle across all categories and started a new trend toward smaller models resulting in significant market growth.

  • Liaise directly with Japan and American Honda R&D to ensure future products reflected customer requirements.

  • Attend product colour selection meeting in US to finalize colour selection for Canadian market.
  • Conduct competitor product testing and analysis, create and present training materials to sales staff to demonstrate the Honda advantage.

Significant accomplishment. worked directly with Honda R&D on a two month project in Quebec to develop an ATV specifically suited to Canadian trail conditions. The subsequent release of the TRX500 Canadian Trail Edition went on to become the best selling ATV in Canada winning ATV of the year in the Canadian press.

  • Analyze warranty return parts to identify failure trends.
  • Once a countermeasure has been determined roll repair procedure out to the market and assist dealers in effective and timely repair. Including Service bulletins, recalls, product updates.
  • Conduct warehouse modifications to address problems prior to market release.
  • Conduct field investigation reports to investigate situation that may become a liability concern to Honda.
  • Work closely with Honda's legal team in liability cases including technical analysis, court testimony analysis and give occasional expert witness testimony.
  • Liaise with parts department to ensure adequate parts are available for repair campaigns.
  • Report recall requirements through management to Transport Canada.


Significant accomplishment worked with Honda's legal team on a landmark case. Observing a technical flaw in the plaintiffs testimony in court I was able to assist the legal team in creating a successful defense.

Provide technical assistance by telephone to dealer service departments in troubleshooting , diagnosing and repairing customer motorcycles, ATVs and Power Equipment

  • Responsible for authorizing warranty claims outside the scope of the normal manufacturers warranty.
  • In particularly difficult cases travel to dealerships to assist and train dealers in problem resolution.
  • in extreme cases units were brought to the national office where i would personally conduct the repair. Then assist in training the dealer to avoid similar situations in the future
  • Assist dealers over the phone in selecting appropriate power equipment for a particular application. for example what size generator or water pump will best meet the consumers requirement.
  • Kept an archive of service manuals and technical documents up to date for quick access to relevant information.


Significant accomplishment when District Service Managers (DSM) were pulled of the road i was selected from among the eight DSMs to be the sole District Service support Coordinator due to a strong history of accurate diagnosis
