PROJECT

Automated Stair Climber Robot (September 2020)


  • The aim was to build an efficient and economical stair climber robot.
  • Responsible for researching and designing the parts using solid works and AutoCAD such that the final prototype can be built under a given budget, meet all the quality standards and can finish under the provided timeline.
  • Leading the team handled planning, task division, schedule and budget using Microsoft Excel making sure that all the team members can actively use the opportunity to learn and grow.
  • Communicated and took guidance from different professors regarding various design issues to ensure smooth progress towards the final prototype.
  • Brought down the cost of the final prototype by using 88% of budget by updating and implementing a new design, resulting in 11.6% of profit.
