  • Using Solidworks Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, participated in the development of economical plastic housing comprised of moldable piece parts that in turn define straightforward tools for injection molding. Most particularly this would require consideration of industrial design, part and assembly costs, and factors relevant to compliance with IP67 and IP69 water exclusion standards.
  • Analyzing requirements and development of conceptual solutions for potential housing designs.
  • Designing injection molded plastic piece parts with attention to potential defects arising from design flaws (such as sink marks, injection blush, etc.).

  • Defining Critical Dimensions for mechanical parts for the first part and production incoming inspection.

  • Researching and specifying materials to meet specific requirements such as galvanic action, adhesion, solvent resistance, and, mechanical strength.
