• Transports and assists customers and baggage if required, when on an assigned bus run.
• Examines proof of payment in the form of proper fare media for the zones travelled; sells and cancels fares; and operates fare equipment.
• Takes responsibility for fare transactions and tickets for various time periods.
• Reconciles sales records, ensures the validity of sales and receipts as prescribed.
• Ensures all Transit Regulations are observed by customers.
• Makes various announcements and distributes and collects marketing surveys, as required.
• Performs pre and post-trip bus inspections in accordance with the most current regulations, as described by Metrolinx Reports any defects to Supervisor, and records in Daily Vehicle Inspection Record “DVIR” book.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the bus, as required.
• Ensures seating adjustments are made to assist customers who have special needs
• Follows prescribed protocols in response to different levels of Safety Alerts:
• Represents Metrolinx and the Metrolinx brand, and works in accordance to Metrolinx customer and safety charters when providing customer service
• Must be able to work effectively in a dynamic work environment with a diverse customer base
• Performs other duties as assigned and agreed upon with the Union, including non-driving duties

• Troubleshoot complex telecommunications products and systems using a digital multimeter, Smartphone, and PC

• Install and test equipment at customer’s premises including internet modems, phone, TV boxes.

• Install, remove, maintain and repair aerial and underground telephone and other telecommunication transmission lines.

• Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets

. • Inspect and test telecommunication transmission lines and cables for transmission characteristic's and to locate faults.

• Install, remove, maintain and repair aerial drops and other telecommunication transmission lines to provide excellent services to customers.

• Inspect, monitor, test and adjust cable transmission and distribution systems.

• Diagnose and solve all technical problems related to Cable services, High Speed Internet, Home Phone in accordance with company specification and standards

• Splice and repair various types and sizes of telephone and other telecommunication cables including optical fiber.

• Report and communicate with the company personnel for proper completion of Installation and service work orders at customer's premises
