- I had the pleasure of working in the grade 6 class at st Ann’s. I would take small groups out into the hallway or the multi purpose room to work on the lessons. I cultivated a wonderful relationship with most of the students in the class as well as other students and staff. I shadowed in the younger grades also and with some behavior students.

- I volunteered in the special ed class in my grade 11 year. I helped with some feedings and spent time learning and loving the kids. From that I started working respite for family’s with special needs children, I would work ADL’s with the children, put them in standing frames and even do some physiotherapy with the kids

- In grade 7 I began volunteering in the special ed class at McGowan elementary school. I was able to help some children with certain tasks but that was where I fell in love with working with kids.
