- First I would open up and set up the breakfast table and activities for the children (school age between 4 &10) we would greet them in the morning and help them with breakfast serving as well as helping them find an activity they would like to try, after this we would get them ready and onto the bus for school
- We also collected them from school and helped with homework and organized afternoon activities
- While these children were at school we ran a pre school group (age 2 years 9 months to 4)
- We always planned age appropriate activities in advance for the groups, taking into consideration each child's age and stage of development
- Outside play would be scheduled into every day play (weather permitting) then after a snack the pre school children would go home
- I really enjoyed this job as I got to work with younger and older children and also plan the activities for the ages
- For the pre school group we had to do term reports on each child that was assigned to us as well as speak with the parents regarding any concerns they may have
