Demonstrate and understanding of the complexity of combined hearing and vision loss, and the integration of the sensory systems in relation to an individual who is deafblind.

·Support an individuals use of orientation and mobility strategies and aids.

Working knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE) / various communication methods are definite assets.

Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of theories and practices related to deafblindness and implements the appropriate practices

• Ensures punctuality and adequately prepares for all responsibilities. Annually, holds a portfolio (limited to the CSP position) of responsibilities and takes accountability and leadership for the location/region (e.g. EARS, JHSC, Snoezlen Room, Lift Trainer, updating Medical Emergency Resource binder, health & safety, compliance)

• Engages in ongoing professional development to enhance current theory and practice. Builds skill and knowledge in the person’s preferred mode of language/communication

i.e. ASL, SEE, LSQ

• Recognizes and supports the development of communication and initiates additional training with respect to various communication methods

• Designs and implements personal plans based on a person-centered approach when providing supports and services and promotes informed choices. Assists people supported with identifying and obtaining personal goals.

• Understands how and when to use and access the services of an American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter and a Deaf Interpreter (DI).

• Helping elderly, physically and mentally disabled patients dressing, bathing, and fulfilling basic hygiene tasks; overseeing rehabilitation exercises; preparing meals as per special dietary considerations, assisting with light housework tasks, and running errands to the grocery store, drug store and laundry Systematics and timely services delivered as per support plan Monitored progress and documented patient health status changes to keep the care team updated Developed rapport to create a safe and trusting environment for care
• Turned and positioned bedbound patients to prevent bedsores and maintain comfort levels

• Experience in all dental treatments and procedures Interviewed patients, reviewed health history information, and performed checkups to diagnose oral issues and diseases Accurate data entry into the record management system and timely follow-up and notifications Expertise in General administration of clinic, including scheduling patient visits and their treatment plan Maintain overall dental office quality by proper disposal, Autoclave of equipment and proper storage of medications and anesthetics
