Summary

Hello, as a grade 10 student at Georgetown District High School, I'm currently seeking Co-op placement for my upcoming grade 11, 2023 Fall term. I have had a strong passion for animals since early childhood. This passion was ignited through working with Earth Rangers, riding, animal rescues, and having experiences with farm animals. All of these things leading my desire to study equine veterinary medicine. I have been riding Hunter/Jumper competitively since 2013 and have obtained my OE Rider Levels up to level 5, currently working on 6. All of this has given me immense hands-on experiences in the equine field. I'm looking forward to putting my knowledge and experiences to work and in turn gain more if given the opportunity.   • Cleaning 20+ horse stalls
  • Preparing food for and feeding 20+ horses (including any specific medication & supplements each horse requires

  • Fill water troughs in outdoor paddocks and indoor water buckets

Volunteer Experience

  • Greyden Equestrian Facilities from July 2021 - Present once a week every Friday (feed for 20+ horses, administering medications for individual horses needs, turning in from paddocks, assisting young/new riders with grooming and tack up, and general stable maintenance)
  • Earth Rangers - Super Ranger in 2017 (campaigned to raise money for protection of wildlife animals - Peregrine Falcon & Swift Fox)
  • Earth Ranger - Tree planting in parks in 2018
  • Santa's Helpers GTA from 2019 - Present in winter season (gift wrapping, driving out to families across the GTA to deliver Christmas gifts)
  • Georgetown District Highschool Student Council Member from 2021 - Present (coordinate, design, and decorate for school events and functions at GDHS)
  • Georgetown District Highschool Link Crew Leader from early May - Present (assist with the welcoming of new Gr.9 students, running welcome activities, helping with Gr.12 graduation in June, tutoring, guiding students through their first year of highschool)

Accomplishments

  • Earth Ranger from 2015-2018
  • Selected as Super Ranger in 2016 with a feature article on the earth rangers website (still there to this day)
  • Collaborated with Earth Rangers "Bring Back The Wild Campaign Manager" to attend various events (ie. Ontario Environment Minister News Conference in 2017 for launch of Green Ontario Fund)
  • Competitive Show Jumper on the Greyden Equestrian Show Team from 2017 - Present
  • Ontario Equestrian Levels 1-5 Certified and currently studying to acquire certification for Level 6 and begin English Coach Certification Program
  • Equine First-Aid Certification as of February 2023
  • Awarded Honor Roll Student at Georgetown District Highschool
