  • Company Overview: BUCRA is a 103-year-old cooperative servicing up to 68,000 acres of rice production. The Supply Division supplies dry and liquid fertilizers and bulk fuel for its growers. Due to its substantial capacity (30,000 tons of dry fertilizer and 6,000 tons of liquid fertilizer), the facility also receives and stores fertilizer for 3 manufacturers: Simplot, Koch, and Potash Corp. via Union Pacific railroad (2 receiving spurs) and truck haulers.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the daily shipping and receiving of product via rail car and truck. Products include fertilizer, rice plant protection products, bulk fuel, and hardware.
  • Purchase, negotiate and secure all bulk fuel products
  • Inventory control of fertilizer and chemicals including 35 tanks of liquid storage, and 3 warehouses for dry fertilizers and packaged chemicals
  • Coordinate repair and maintenance of the physical plant
  • 3 warehouses and associated conveyance systems
  • Fertilizer rolling stock and associated equipment
