  • I worked as a packaging machine operator. I would run machines on three different lines (forklifts and tortilla) that would bag the chips and send them to the packers to pack the finished product into boxes. I would perform and Troubleshoot machine alarms and jams, repairing machines as needed and thoroughly documenting results. I would fill out a daily spec sheet that would check to make sure that I had the right film, labels, code date and weight for each bag that was filled. I was responsible to keep machines running all day long as efficiently and effectively as possible.
  • Attached identification labels to finished packaged items or stenciled information on containers.
  • Read the production schedule and plans accordingly.
  • Print labels on different computers and printers, choosing correct program for each product.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment. Set up and make minor scale repairs and adjustments.
  • Efficiently operate packaging equipment which includes machine setups, troubleshooting, changeovers, proper running, procedural adjustments, sanitation cleanup, preventative maintenance and shutdown.
