Summary
I am currently the Finance Reporting Lead, Shell Plc. I graduated with a Master’s degree in Accounting from Leeds Beckett University, UK and I am an Oracle DB Certified Professional, Associate member of ACCA, U.K and Canadian CPA.
I started my career in 2008 as an Internal Auditor focused on the development of the annual audit plan and the auditing procedures to be used across the branches of Zenith Bank Plc, Nigeria. Also involved in the planning, execution and reporting on Audit findings across the bank. I also focused on the proactive risk-based review of internal control weaknesses with transformational recommendations and estimated savings of > USD2mln.
Since joining Shell in 2012, I have worked in the SNEPCo Offshore Production Finance Team managing cost recovering > USD235m Opex and USD100m Capex p.a for the Bonga Asset and impacting bottom-line delivery through best practice cost transparency /savings initiatives and effective business finance partnering support to the Nigeria Deepwater Production Leadership Team. I currently work with the Financial Reporting team (consolidating Shell Nigeria’s Financial performance into Shell Plc’s Group Financials).
In my current role, I am responsible for delivering a wide range of critical deliverables in a fast-paced multi-stakeholder financial & reporting environment which entails first-time-right monthly delivery of financial consolidation into Shell Plc Group Financials and management reporting on variances to KPIs (Production, Cost, Earnings & Cash among others). I adopt my strong understanding of IFRS, GAAP and Upstream E&P business in solving complex accounting problems associated with portfolio divestment, Retail Business combination, Statutory Financial reporting and Joint Venture reporting to Government, Regulators and Venturer partners. I support the contract management process for Offshore Production as it relates to mitigating potential business risk from suppliers, vendors and other partners evidenced by various Asset Recognition awards.
Among my top skill, I am proficient in the use of business collaborative software packages such as Salesforce, Power BI, SAP, BW/HANA, ReportOne (Citrix), Microsoft Office packages (excel, word & power point). For my pass time, I enjoy lawn tennis & chess.
