• Provide leadership to team of contract H&S Technicians and service providers to ensure delivery of consistent results to Operations, Maintenance and Emergency Services teams, including oversight of H&S Equipment / Respiratory Maintenance shop

• Drive HSE management processes including hazard and risk management through identification, incident investigations and contractor verifications for a variety of asset teams (Plant Operations, Plant Maintenance, Construction, and Well Delivery)
• Participate in the development of HSE strategy to mitigate risk and manage service provider performance
• Support emergency preparedness processes and assist with training exercises
• Provide HSE expertise for project management and execution teams
• Investigate workplace incidents, near misses and process safety events to determine root cause, provide recommendations and assist in communication of learnings
• Promote mental health awareness amongst staff
• Provide shift coverage for H&S Manager overseeing Emergency Services team, clinic staff and H&S team

Worked with all groups to improve safety performance through hazard recognition, incident management learning opportunities, contractor safety management and on the job interventions

• Develop and implement project EH&S programs and initiatives
• Develop and maintain the required project safe work practices, safe work procedures, risk assessments, and task hazard assessments
• Assist Project Managers, Superintendents and Foreman in incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementation of corrective actions
• Lead project EH&S meetings; report leading and lagging indicator trends and continuous improvement initiatives
• Contractor management through field inspections and audits of contractor EH&S program implementation
• Support Emergency response activities; on-site training and response exercises

• Provide health and safety consulting services on safety programs and systems, including audits and assessments
• Act as company HSE representative to assist in meeting performance objectives

• Operate heavy equipment for multiple business units (Streets, Roads & Utilities)
• Train new operators on various types of equipment from light to heavy equipment
• Report to area manager on operator performance and competencies
• Conduct workplace inspections and facilitate safety meetings
• Conduct material estimates
