Summary

I developed skills through many fast paced workplace environments, whether it be kitchens or tills. Working with instruments has given me insight on how to be gentle with heavy tubas full of water, and I have never dropped or damaged an instrument. Other working environments, such as with those I consider my family, have taught me much more practical skills in the working world. I can do anything you need me to do and more, with instruction.

  • Tubas, euphoniums, trombones, trumpets, flutes, piccolos, french horns, saxophones, and clarinets are all examples of instruments I work on.
  • I fully disassemble and clean all instruments thoroughly in an ultrasonic sound bath, before draining, rinsing, snaking, drying, greasing, and reassembling the instrument.
  • Use instant cement to reattach small corks.
  • This summer I did roughly 50 tubas in 12 full work days, just split up around my own schedule. One week was full of work, and others were part time. Flexible hours made my work precise, as I am always willing to take an extra second to verify everything is correct.
  • Final touches include wrapping the mouthpiece in a plastic bag with a "Sanitized" sticker, and vacuuming the case.
  • This is work that is only available in the summer, as Travis typically takes instruments from schools to be cleaned in the summertime.
