• Worked closely with Remote Transmission Asset Management Control Center Operators and Grid operators for smooth and reliable operation of AC substations ( 132 kV and higher ) and resolve critical Power outage issues.

• Prepared Cigre annual HVDC system performance report.
• Prepared report on prechraging , Open Line Test and Reactive power Compensation of 800 kV HVDC multi terminal north east Agra interconnector.
• Submitted case study on metallic return to ground transfer protection mal operation.
• Prepared case study on multi terminal tripping due to failure of North Eastern grid.
• Associated in study related to low frequency power oscillation due to HVDC in north eastern grid.
• Worked As 800kV High Voltage Direct Current Transmission (HVDC) Site Engineer during construction period Control Operator cum Maintenance Engineer in one of the Rectifier station of 800 kV North East Agra Multi Terminal HVDC .
• Supervised and Coordinated with ABB during construction phase for erection of Thyristor Valves, Valve Cooling system and for Major Electrical testing of HVDC Converters, Cooling system, Control protection, Thyristor valves .
• Compilation of technical deviation report based on Technical Specification of the project and IEC 60919 (part 1,2 and 3).
• Worked in collaboration with other site engineers for major Maintenance activities mostly during service period listed below.

a)Testing and replacement of Faulty Thyristors in valves, Snubber Circuit, Thyristor Control Unit, Light guide fibre,

b)Troubleshooting of Control and protection issues with the Process bus ,the interfacing DSP (Digital Signal Processor) and the ABB make Modular Advanced Control for HVDC (MACH™) .

c) Parameter setting, customizing and Testing of 400kV and 220kV AC transmission line Distance protection Numerical Relay and Bay Control unit.

d)Parameter setting, customizing and Testing of 400kV/220kV/33kV 315 MVA Transformer Differential Relay, Backup Impedance Relay and Restricted Earth fault protection relay .

e)Regular maintenance activity in Auxiliary system, medium voltage switchgear ,Diesel Generator (1 MVA X 2).

f)Annual Capacity Discharge test , Identification and replacement of faulty battery in 220 V DC Battery system for relays and other control protection equipment, 48 V DC for communication system, 24 V for UPS and DG

g) Annual Maintenance Activities like Tan Delta, Capacitance test and oil test in Bushings of Transformers, Current Transformer.

• Programming for customization and troubleshooting of PLC(Programmable Logic Controller ) in fbd and ladder (mostly in GE and Siemens) of Centralized HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) , Building Management system and Medium Voltage switchgear Control.
• Revised and Redesigned two module (Multi terminal power ramp and restart logic counter) of Control system Software of ABB (HiDraw) by using Hidraw32 software.
• Received Appreciation letter from top Management for writing several technical reports on Control and protection, Reactive power control, Valve Cooling Drive problem, DC transient charging of Converter, Dead Time of DC restart(This has reduced the no of restart failure and increased the reliability).ABB considered this papers into consideration for revision of their software.
• Got Nominated and attended several training regarding HVDC Control protection at ABB and also in RTDS Technologies, Canada.
• Attended and prepared Protection Audit in different HV Substations.
• Done Quality Inspection for Relays and Control Equipment at GE Manufacturing Plant,Chennai.

• Was under training in several HV AC/DC Transmission project as Site Trainee Engineer (Management Trainee) . The Major projects are listed below

a) 400 kV Behrampur-Bheramara (India Bangladesh International interconnector) Transmission project.

b) 800 kV North East Agra HVDC Transmission project.

c)400 kV Alipurduar- Jigmeling and 400 kV Alipurduar Punatsanchu Transmission Line (India- Bhutan International Interconnector)

• Major learnings were on survey, Optimization of Transmission line requirement, Safety , Execution as per drawing, Quality control, site management, ROW (Right of Way) management, Public Land and Crop Compensation, Handling major site PR issues with the help of Adminstration

• Worked as Research and Development Engineer in one of the largest lead acid battery manufacturer in India.
• Associated with Fast charging of Tubular Lead Acid battery for Traction vehicle application.
• Attended several meeting with ECoult Battery Technology (Technology partner of Exide) for Ultra Battery project.
• Attended troubleshooting of PLC for Acid Mixing Plant.
• Prepared report on corrosion of grid due to contamination (Warranty Failure cases in E Rickshaw, E bikes )
