Experience

Smart Parking Lot                                                        SECOND YEAR OF UNIVERSITY

  • This multi-level parking facility is meticulously designed to accommodate various types of vehicles, with each floor designated for a specific vehicle category. Equipped with state-of-the-art portals at the entrance and exit, it offers a seamless transaction experience for customers, facilitating effortless payment of parking fees.
  • An additional portal is dedicated to the staff, enabling them to efficiently manage customer information, monitor parking durations, and promptly address any inquiries or issues. The facility also caters to the needs of electric vehicle owners by providing charging stations.
  • The initial version of this project was executed using Object-Oriented Programming with Java, employing JavaFX for the front-end interface, in a collaborative team effort. Subsequently, it was further refined during personal time, transitioning the programming elements to C++ and QT.

Simple General-Purpose Processor                        SECOND YEAR OF UNIVERSITY

  • A simple processor implemented using VHDL that can switch its states of logic to execute different operations based on the user's input. The result will be shown on a 7-segment display.

Processor with Reset Circuit                                       THIRD YEAR OF UNIVERSITY

  • A simple general-purpose processor programmed using VHDL that can execute addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and other logic gates operations simultaneously.

Peer to Peer Network                                                    THIRD YEAR OF UNIVERSITY

  • Developed a centralized peer network system using the C programming language, incorporating the functionalities of both UDP and TCP connection protocols. Within this project, three distinct peers were established, each storing a unique piece of content within its local directory.
  • These peers interact with an index server, performing predefined operations that include content registration, downloading, deregistration, viewing available content, and program termination.

Network on Chip                                                              FOURTH YEAR OF UNIVERSITY

  • Employing SystemC, a Network-on-Chip (NoC) system was developed featuring a mesh topology comprising interconnected routers (switches) and IPs (Intellectual Properties).
  • This mesh-based architecture enables seamless communication between routers and IP cores within the system. Data packets are transferred following a neighboring pattern, traversing vertically across routers and IP cores, thereby optimizing the data flow throughout the network. Notably, the implemented design showcases notably improved packet transfer speeds, surpassing those observed in the uniform counterpart.
  • This substantial enhancement underscores the system's efficiency and effectiveness, positioning it as an exceptional choice for applications necessitating swift and dependable data transmission.

Collision Detection for Gaming Applications and its CPU-GPU Implementation

CAPSTONE PROJECT

  • In the context of a collaborative team of four, the development of an application was undertaken. This application harnessed the combined capabilities of the CPU and GPU to execute efficient object collision detection.
  • The endeavor necessitated the acquisition of foundational skills in CUDA, a GPU parallel programming language based on C. These skills proved pivotal in implementing GPU optimizations for the project.
  • The collective diligence of the team culminated in the successful demonstration of the project at the prestigious Ryerson (now Toronto Metropolitan) Capstone Design Open House event. This public exposition provided an invaluable platform to articulate the intricate details of the project and exhibit its practical applications to a diverse audience.
