  • Served and maintained meals within a fast paced, large scale environment, while ensuring I followed policies and procedures set by the employer, such as portion sizes, special diet requirements and cleanliness of the line at all times.
  • Assisted kitchen staff in meal preparation by washing and cutting food items such as vegetables into individual portions, placed baked goods on proper serving dishes, washed kitchen dishes as per protocol (rinse, scrub, sanitize, rinse) and ensured proper food storage location.
  • Prepared main dining room for all daily servicing of meals, which includes replenishing all side condiments, refilling juice, coffee/tea, creamer, and cereal machines, topping up cutlery bins, plate receptacles, coffee/tea/drinking glasses, and ensuring napkin holders, and salt and pepper shakers are filled on tables.
  • Placed prepared salad and protein items at stationed bars and kept replenished and cleaned during seated meals according to protocol.
  • Performed cleaning services in the main dining hall by sanitizing tables, chairs and serve areas before, during and after all scheduled meals to ensure proper college policies and protocols were met.
  • Assisted kitchen staff by turning off and draining warmer line wells at the appropriate times directed by the cooks for cleaning. Filled the wells in between seating with water where applicable.
  • Scrapped dishes after meal sittings into the appropriate location, either garbage disposal, recycle or garbage, so they could be run through dishwasher.
  • Operated industrial dishwasher to clean servicing dishes and cutlery. Once all dishes were cleaned, sanitized and examined for cleanliness I would place in the appropriate locations throughout the kitchen and serving areas. Cleaned and sanitized dish room after all uses.
  • Operated industrial washer and dryer to ensure servicing and kitchen staff had clean and sanitized cloths throughout the day.
  • Disposed of all garbage after each meal sitting to the appropriate garbage bin.
  • Assisted the early shift Food Services Lead with opening of the servicing area and meal hall, which includes unlocking all appropriate doors, and gates, turning on dishwasher, lights, and toasters.
  • Performed weekly deep cleaning of all food services equipment such as main dishwasher, coffee, juice and creamer machines, salad and protein bars.
  • Performed after intake deep cleaning of tray carts, tables, chairs, mats, walls and floors.
  • Assisted recruits, seniors, and staff on any questions or concerns they may have had such as items in the prepared food due to allergies (consulted with cooks) or appropriate dress apparel in food services hall.
