- I was always the first point of contact for the drilling rig operations and provided daily field and rig updates to office-based colleagues.
- As we worked in some very remote areas, a large task I had was to ensure the rigs had all equipment and supplies necessary to run smoothly and efficiently, and any operational issues they had were dealt with quickly and cost effectively.
- I spent a large amount of time working with the drilling crews and site managers to make sure they had all required training and tools needed to perform their duties safely and to the best of their abilities.
- In my role as Operations Superintendent, I was responsible for supervising all drilling rig activities (up to 12 rigs) as required. Working with drilling contractors, and service providers management teams to assist them in their operations with us and help alleviate any issues that may arise prior to them becoming problems that could potentially cost unforeseen dollars.
