Work History

Business Owner

Simple Hires
Calgary, Alberta
09.2022 - Current
  • Simple Hires began with a focus on recruiting for small businesses in Alberta. Some of the services we offer include creating dynamic job profiles, reviewing and scheduling candidates, sourcing talent across multiple platforms, and helping businesses establish a social media presence. (www.simplehires.ca)
  • As a small business owner and entrepreneur, I have honed a skill set that enables me to turn concepts and ideas into tangible results. I have overseen all aspects of the business, including web development, marketing, business development, accounting, and all recruiting needs.
  • In addition, we have expanded our services to support churches in both Alberta and British Columbia, assisting them with their staffing requirements.

Associate Pastor

McKenzie Towne Church
Calgary, Alberta
01.2020 - Current
  • McKenzie Towne Church is a congregation of over 750 people, with two morning services and an evening campus.
  • As an associate pastor, my role is multifaceted. I oversee internships, small groups, and have launched and lead the Sunday evening campus.
  • I launched an internship program that currently supports five interns training for vocational ministry. Through strong partnerships with Briercrest and Millar Bible College, we have established ourselves as the go-to church for internships in Calgary.
  • I have overseen the development of small groups at McKenzie Towne Church, launching 25 groups over the past two years. I continue to create new groups and equip leaders for ongoing growth and impact.
  • This fall, along with my staff team, I launched a new campus that meets on Sunday evenings, and I currently lead this community as one of my primary responsibilities.
  • In addition to these duties, I regularly preach and teach, oversee staff development, and provide general support within our church community.

Young Adult Pastor

Willingdon Church
Coquitlam, BC
01.2017 - 12.2019
  • Willingdon Church is a vibrant congregation of over 5,000 people, representing 13 different language groups within the community. I worked collaboratively across various departments to connect, engage, and serve the 18-30 demographic both within the church and the broader city. In this multilingual environment, I effectively navigated cross-cultural dynamics to foster inclusion and growth.
  • I oversaw the recruitment, screening, policies, and coaching of 50+ leaders and volunteers serving in the young adult ministry, growing the volunteer base from 10 to 60 people in the first year of my leadership. I led multiple teams and coached 16+ Life Group Leaders, regularly teaching groups of 150+ individuals.
  • I also planned, proposed, and developed a new Young Adult Sunday Service, bringing the vision to life through prayer, strategic planning, team development, and clear communication. Additionally, I collaborated with local campus ministries at BCIT, SFU, and UBC to better equip students on campus and build stronger connections within the community.

Church Planter

CentrePoint Church
Camrose, AB
01.2015 - 01.2017
  • CentrePoint was formerly known as Pleasantview Alliance and had reached a point where closing its doors was seriously considered. However, I was brought in on a contract with the Christian & Missionary Alliance to relaunch the church as a new ministry.
  • This relaunch involved a formal assessment, budget planning, and developing strategic partnerships. After completing a renovation and relaunching the ministry over a two-year period, a pastor was brought in to continue leading this new work. Today, CentrePoint continues to thrive and minister to the community!
  • My role included staff management, building project oversight, volunteer recruitment and training, community engagement, weekly services, Life Group coaching, and missional outreach. I managed a staff team of three, and the volunteer base grew by 200%.

New Venture Apprentice

Central Canadian District of the CM&A
Barrie, ON
01.2014 - 01.2015
  • I spent a season of development as a New Venture Apprentice, working closely with a communication coach and a district coach while gaining hands-on experience in community engagement.
  • During this time, I also started an outreach ministry at a local coffee shop and worked at VOX Alliance Church.

Associate Pastor

Crossroads Church
Medicine Hat, AB
01.2011 - 01.2014
  • Crossroads Church was formerly Medicine Hat Alliance Church but had reached a point where it was absorbed by the Western Canadian District of the CM&A. The district classified this as a "church restart" and brought in a lead pastor and myself to relaunch the church as a new ministry.
  • I worked with an intergenerational team to develop key ministry areas for the restart. I started a youth group and oversaw the worship ministries. Over the first two years, the youth group grew from 5 to 40 students, and we saw many non-believers come to Christ, with an effective discipleship strategy in place.
  • Additionally, I oversaw the Life Groups and First Impressions Ministries at Crossroads.

Lead Pastor

Wimborne Alliance Church
01.2009 - 01.2010
  • Preaching weekly, led worship, helped with kids/youth ministry, and oversaw the vision/mission of the church with the Elder's Board.
