I started working for a small company ZH Mechanical three weeks before my first term of school, and I enjoyed it. Things were going well. Zach had me in a van alone, and I enjoyed the challenge and responsibility. Two weeks into school Zach told me that he decided to sell ZH Mechanical to his co-owner Jordan, this was unfortunate because Jordan decided to go alone with one apprentice leaving me and the other apprentice without jobs. there were no hard feelings either way, Zach didn't have much of a choice. I enjoyed working there even though it was for such a short time, it help me learn the kind of company I want work for.
I started at Jantzi in a Co-op in grade 12, this was my first experience with plumbing I enjoyed it so I did Co-op all of grade 12 and they hired me in September after I volunteered at a bible camp for the summer after I graduated high school. I worked on a lot of agriculture jobs like dairy barns, chicken barns, pig barns and shops. I also worked on some bigger commercial jobs and spent some time working on apartment buildings. I did mostly all new build Jobs, i have some basic experience with service work. Jantzi was a great company to work for I enjoyed the work I did there, the environment just wasn't for me. It was important too me that I left on good terms because Jeff Jantzi was a great boss and treated me well . He said im welcome back if things don't work out at my new job but just a few weeks at ZH helped me realize how important the environment that I work in is.
I had a Co-op position at Reist when I was in grade eleven. I worked full-time in the summer after. I learned lots of skills with metalwork. I couldn't see my self doing that work for the rest of my life so I tried Plumbing after and decided to pursue a career in that.
