In this position as a volunteer for the program of Avid, I would be called upon to help wherever was needed. Such as volunteering for Halloween festivals at elementary schools, or forming fundraisers for homeless children in need. I would help out in anyway I could and have accumulated many hours in community service due to it. All in all helping to progress our community in a positive way!

In the emerging leaders of San Diego program I was trained and mentored in helpful ways to lead in the community. I would join zoom calls every Tuesday, and attend some in person events. Which went over how to be a leader, and inspire those around you. I attended this program twice to really get a clear and concise understanding on how to be a great debater and leader within my community.

When I was volunteering at my local church it mainly consisted of greeting, welcoming, and helping the youth into there groups. This mainly meant signing them in, and aiding the young children and watching over them while their parents were in Church. On top of this, I attended many days and nights watching the children whenever I could. Such as the church hosted, date nights, for parents and as the youth leader and helper I was selected to watch over the youth.

In this position I helped and greeted incoming freshmen to my High school. During summer, I helped progress and start the welcoming party for incoming freshmen. I did this by organizing and decorating, and putting in the extra hand to make sure all the new students feel welcomed and loved in there new school.
