TRAVIS A. CHAPMAN

Disability Management Professional

Summary

The opportunity to bring forward my experience in leadership, team building, goal setting, and service improvement in a new and developing environment is in direct line with my goal for continued growth. I am confident that I can add value to team with the following strengths : Leadership & management experience I believe strongly that results are dependent upon employee engagement, positive team dynamics, and a leader team committed to the values of the organization and each other’s success. I approach these goals by creating an environment of trust and transparency achieved through investment in individual goals and change management. With over 15 years of direct management and senior management experience I continue to be a student of leadership philosophies and education to provide structure and contrast to my perspective. Business Knowledge I have been extremely fortunate to have a broad range of experiences including clinical, field, and benefit positions. In my history of disability management, I have worked directly with employees, employers, service providers and internal partners to provide rehabilitation, accommodation, and return to work strategies for optimal claim management and business partner relationships. As I have taken on larger responsibilities in Regional Manager and Director positions, I have had the opportunity to work more closely with diverse departments, initiatives, and a growing focus on strategic planning across Canadian operations and regions. Excellent communication and team-building skills These are my strengths. I feel I am a strong communicator and am known for my ability to develop trust and positive rapport with internal partners, clients, and other professionals. I have a reputation for competency and credibility and look to ensure clarity in my information. Leadership starts from a position of support but requires a clear understanding of responsibilities and decision making. Analysis and Strategic Development I am interestingly passionate about data and have the initiative to develop guidelines, policies and procedures for greater efficiency and effectiveness. I am keen to promote frameworks and philosophies that build greater understanding, alignment and partnership. But ultimately it is our people and our investment in them that will help us achieve the solutions and success that this represents. I feel confident that I could provide the leadership and skills necessary to succeed in this position, and I look forward to discussing this opportunity and our shared interests during the selection process. With over 20 years in Disability Management my experience includes an extensive background in leadership, client service, quality development, coordination of a multi-disciplinary team, and oversight of management groups Track record for delivering above average results Known as a confident communicator, a great listener, a supportive team player and an enthusiastic team builder Respected for outstanding relationship building skills, coupled with a high level of diplomacy and professionalism in all interactions with clients, service providers and team members Exceptionally well organized and attentive to detail Proven initiative in optimizing service delivery and team efficiency Competencies include.
