A proven professional and subject matter expert in the field of gender-based violence, I bring over 20 years of management experience to my work. With a diverse skill set in research, evaluation, project management, program and curriculum development, and interdisciplinary collaboration, I have developed extensive knowledge in the areas of risk assessment, safety planning, crisis and therapeutic intervention, and interagency collaboration. Having worked in both Red Deer, Alberta, Canada and Roma, Queensland, Australia, my approach to practice within the diverse fields of social work and education is from a feminist, trauma and violence-informed perspective. My practice is rooted in harm reduction and an intersectional approach that fosters resiliency as a central tenet. I possess extensive knowledge of relational and anti-oppressive practice, as well as the systemic oppression faced by underserved populations.
