After completing my course at The Photography Institute, I began to take on small jobs, such as engagement shoots, and a few infant photography sessions. I have done corporate headshots, and photos for passport IDs. Also, for the grand opening of Giant Tiger here in Greenwood, I was hired to do a full day shoot for the event. For an advertising promotion, I was hired to do a photo shoot for Jordan's Home Furniture in New Minas. And, it has been enjoyable to work with several brides and grooms, sharing their special day doing their wedding pictures. For now, I only do photography for myself.
As co-owner of JTP Publishing, my partner and I decided to publish an automotive sales magazine called The Right Stuff. As an active sales person, my partner would visit car dealerships to sell ads for the publication. The client would then email me a list of vehicles and descriptions of which I would design an appropriate advertisement. My main tool for the graphics was Adobe InDesign. Once the ad was complete, I would email it back to our client who would then approve, or offer suggestions to complete it. Once approved, I would bill them. Once payment was made, the product would go to print. We started with a 12 page, black and white booklet, and ended up dong a full color, 16 page spread, of which I was quite proud.
