As part of the management team I provide day-to-day supervision of activities of fleet maintenance and repair; plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, and review the work of a diverse workforce; develop and revise work processes; establish work schedules; provide or coordinate staff training; manage performance and work with staff to correct deficiencies.

Responsible for the correct trouble shooting and repairs of CNRL's haul truck fleet, In particular their Caterpillar off road Haulers such as 797B/F, 793D,789D,785D, 777C, 777 Water Utility truck, Euclid, Komatsu 930E, Liebherr T-284 . Provided preventative maintenance, Machine overhaul, Complete testing and commission of units. Machine conversions, Running repairs, Electrical & Hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs. Completed component C/O and Machine mid life rebuilds on several models within the fleet.

Currently as a full time lead hand (B Crew Truck Shop) I assist Supervisors/Foreman as needed in the planning and execution of the day to day work load in the truck shop and provide necessary vacation coverage in a team lead capacity.

Shop tech in CNRL's electric truck fleet shop. Responsible for the correct diagnosing, Machine overhaul, Complete testing and commission of units.Running repairs, Electrical & Hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs. Complete component C/O and Machine mid life rebuilds on Komatsu 930 and Leibherr T-284 trucks.

Provided hydraulic & electrical troubleshooting and the day to day running repairs on a variety of dock equipment such as Cargo trailer haulers, shipping container fork lifts & smaller CAT lift trucks.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting issues within the fleet. Repairing break downs, the running repairs of vessels on their respective runs & complete engine overhauls and surveying abiding by all transport Canada regulations on various makes such as Caterpillar, John Deere, MAK, MTU, Mitsubishi & Mirlees engines

Pump and motor alignments.

Clutch/Shaft & propulsion repairs.

Generator set installations & troubleshooting

Provided preventative maintenance, Machine overhaul, Complete testing and commission of units. Machine conversions, Running repairs, Electrical & Hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs. Completed component C/O and Machine mid life rebuilds on several models within CNRL’s fleet and always provided high quality work as a Finning field warranty technician.

Starting in new equipment prep I was able to gain extensive knowledge on the assembly, commissioning and testing on various models of CAT Off Road equipment, from there I moved into component and machine rebuild areas of the shop where I was able to further my understanding and knowledge of Caterpillar Off road haulers and support equipment.

Performed duties as required such as machine steaming & job preparation, component prep, machine servicing & painting, assisting journeymen, The running of equipment for shop and yard maintenance.
