Don Bosco Snehabhavan, also known as Don Bosco Welfare Centre Society, is a non-profit organization established in 1974 in Ernakulam, India. For over 46 years, it has been dedicated to helping children at risk.

Summary:

As a social worker tasked with rescuing and rehabilitating children facing various rights violations, including illegal forced situations. They assess the needs of orphaned, runaway, and vulnerable children, drafting appropriate rehabilitation plans. Additionally, analyzed the needs of rescued children and propose projects to support them. Their responsibilities extend to drafting project proposals for mobilizing resources, evaluating client requirements, and implementing programs. They conduct interviews to assess client problems, coordinate support activities, and report progress to authorities. Furthermore, they direct clients to potential resources for further assistance and link with various agencies to address community issues. Providing counseling, education, vocational training, and support to clients and their families are also part of their duties. They prepare funding plans, reports, and estimates, while monitoring client progress and guiding families when necessary.

It focuses on providing care, protection, and education, aiming to turn them into responsible adults. They reintegrate them into families or provide alternative care while offering formal education and vocational training.
