Summary
I have been employed with the city of Fredericton since 2008. I also had the opportunity to work with Parks and Trees for approximately four weeks as a temporary placement during the COVID pandemic. I really enjoyed my time there and was wishing I could have stayed longer before I was called back to transit. Although I do like being a transit bus operator, I feel it is time for a welcome change in the type of work I am doing for the city. I ask that you would please consider me for the permanent labourer position for Parks and Trees division.

- Preformed pre trip inspection before beginning each shift. Reported any malfunctions to maintenance crew.
- Operate bus safely along a scheduled route in all traffic and weather conditions picking up and dropping off passengers.
- Ensure that the correct fair is being paid for each passenger.
- Use two-way radio to interact and communicate with dispatch and other drivers.
- Report mechanical malfunctions or damages observed during shift immediately.
- Report any delays, construction or other irregularities to dispatcher to aid in alternate route mapping.
- Provide customers with information regarding routs, schedules and stops.
- Assist disabled passengers using wheelchairs by deploying ramp and correctly attaching tie down straps to the chairs once they are on board.
- Secure and report all lost or forgotten items on the bus, bringing items into dispatch office at end of each shift.
