Fire Protection First Line Manager - Maintenance

- Performed Fire Safety Assessments for Maintenance work activities. Also was the Maintenance Authority for all Space Allocation and Transient Material (SATM) approvals. Trained in Fire Hazard Analysis with Engineering staff and familiar with CSA, NFPA, NFC and NBC codes and requirements.
Shift Manager in Training, Pickering B Operations

- Completed all the requirements of the 3 year Shift Manager program including classroom, in-plant shift assignment and simulator testing. Did not obtain license due to one failure of ten final simulator tests. Stayed in Operations for an additional 3 years and performed the duties as a coordinator in Outage Control Centre (OCC) and IOP planning sections. Also supervised licensed staff in the Operations Support procedures section.
Maintenance Section Manager – Outage Execution

- Managed all planned and forced outage work activities for the Pickering B Maintenance department. This included the planning of all pre-requisite work tasks and walk downs of jobsites and material staging. Managed work and projects for numerous contractors such as Black & McDonald, ES Fox, Crosby-Dewar and Atlantic Valves. This involved administering and participating in contract approvals. Also set up the original Outage Roving Crew which consisted of composite maintenance staff which provided supplemental resources for planned outages at Darlington and Pickering stations.

- Performed First Line Manager – Control and multi-functional Control & Mechanical on Pickering B and Common Services. I was FLM on the Water Treatment Plant, Pickering A & B Screen houses, UPP & Sulzer, Pickering A & B Standby Generators, Cranes & Hoists, Shops (Site Security, Electronics, DCC’s, Standards Lab – Control & Mechanical) and Metrology Lab, Static Equipment (all electrical maintenance on Pickering B, Shift FLM assignment on B, D & E crews where I obtained my OPC and emergency management qualifications. I also was the assistant Section Manager for Control Maintenance for over a year.
