Thomas Jin

My name is Chunyi Jin (Thomas), an international student from China, currently studying at Semiahmoo Secondary School in Vancouver. I’m a Grade 12 IB student focusing on higher-level Math, Physics, and Chemistry, with the goal of becoming an engineer. Outside of academics, I’m passionate about sports. I regularly play basketball, rugby, badminton, and do gym and running training, which have helped me build resilience and teamwork skills. I am a proactive and organized individual who excels at balancing multiple responsibilities through strong time management and collaborative skills. As a Grade 12 IB student engaged in rigorous higher-level courses, I effectively coordinate my academic commitments with extracurricular activities such as tutoring, participating in charity sales, and practicing sports like basketball and rugby. These experiences have not only refined my ability to work efficiently within teams, but have also enhanced my capacity to plan, organize, and adapt my schedule to achieve both academic and personal success.
