• Knowledge of public health guidelines and protocols

• Experience in maternal-newborn care, obstetrics, or perinatal nursing, pregnancy loss and termination, gynecology/obstetrics operating room

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

• Ability to respond to emergency situations like postpartum hemorrhage or fetal distress

• Knowledge of fetal monitoring, pain management, and postpartum care

• Strong communication skills for supporting patients and families. Often assigned as charge nurse on the labour floor and obstetrical triage department.
