  • Participated in and eventually volunteered at the Jingle Bell events until 2023, when Sacramento Arthritis Foundation stopped doing the events because of the winter storms
  • Fleet Feet's Winter Fest almost every year around middle of November until the last day of December (virtual; with the exception of the Winter 5K event that people just bring an unwrapped toy to participate in the 5K)
  • participate in Elk Grove's Restaurant Week every time they have it going on each year (almost every year, at the bare minimum)
  • Participate in the Dias de Los Miles 5K event almost every October (this year is on October 25th in Elk Grove's District 56)
  • protests (e.g. No Kings, Women's March, etc. - 2017 until today)
  • A Seat At The Table books' Science Cafes (a few Trivia Nights, too)

  • Assisted a couple with medical issues in Elk Grove (volunteer position at first, but then got paid every two weeks afterwards - January until May 2026):

a. took the groceries out of the van and into the house (I rotated out the juice, too)

b. brought the garbage, recycling, and organic bins out to the curb (brought them back in on Friday afternoons; I also took the trash, organics, and recycling out of the house to the bins every week)

c. picked up dog dirt, gave the dogs fresh water (same thing with the cat water bowl that is on the front porch)

d. Gardening action items: preparing the garden beds for spring planting; planting seeds and plants in the two garden beds; weeding out the area around the drain and weeding the driveway; watering plants (both in front and backyards); preparing the solution for getting rid of snails/slugs off of the trees; preparing the sugar water solution for hummingbirds

e. miscellaneous: attempted to fix the black box underneath the Lazyboy chair; swapped out the old wire holders for the new ones (for the couple's camera system on the side of the house); brought in multiple bins of Easter/Spring decorations and a Spring welcome mat; took out all of the frozen foods and the ice packs because the couple needed to get another fridge installed with the new freezer sections because the old freezer was eventually not working too well with the old one making a ton of strange noises; and getting the couple's mail

  • high school events (August 2014 - May 2017):

a. T.D.A. (Technology and Digital Arts - Elk Grove High School) movie nights
